Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
✍️ About Ed’s Books
Q: What kind of books do you write?
I write in two worlds: business books that help leaders lead with more impact, and sci-fi thrillers with mind-bending virtual reality, dark humor, and ethical messes. Both are fueled by my obsession with clarity, systems, and what happens when we miss the real problem.
Q: Do I need a business background to read Stop Jumping to Solutions?
Nope. It’s a leadership fable—story-driven and easy to follow. If you’ve ever worked on a team or led one (or just been frustrated by broken systems), it’s for you.
Q: Is CyberPlay part of a series?
Right now it’s a standalone, but the world may expand—depending on how loud the voices in my head get.
Q: Are your books connected?
Not directly. But if you like a bit of structure in your fiction and a bit of chaos in your nonfiction, you’ll spot the overlap.

Q: What’s with the cocktails?
I host a cocktail series on Instagram where I mix drinks, drop a little history, and try not to spill anything. It’s called Cocktails with the Colonel, and it’s as much therapy as it is a hobby. It’s been a while since I’ve posted an instructional video, but in all fairness I’ve spent a lot of time recently writing my stories.
Q: Are you really a Marine?
Yep. Retired officer. Still love structure, systems, and the occasional “Oh-rah.”
Q: Do you play golf well?
Absolutely not. But I play often.
